Biography
Dr. Sheila A. Cain is a board certified internist and primary care physician with over 20 years of clinical experience. Her interests include women’s health, osteoporosis, preventative medicine, travel medicine and the coordination of treatment for many chronic conditions, including hypertension and diabetes.
Dr. Cain grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Biological Sciences. She received her medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
After completing her training, Dr. Cain worked as a Clinician Educator and served as Associate Program Director in the Department of Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital. During this time, Dr. Cain was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and was a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine and the Medical Director of the Pace University Physician Assistant Program. In 2007, Dr. Cain joined a private practice affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center, where she practiced for over 13 years.
As a member of Concorde Medical Group, Dr. Cain continues to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients. With a focus on collaboration and preventative medicine, she believes in offering personalized treatment plans to address a wide range of medical conditions and promote overall health and wellness.
