Biography
Dr. Juan Roure is a board certified pediatrician with over 25 years of experience caring for children in Manhattan. He joined Pediatrics East of New York, P.C. in 1997 and served as President of the practice for 15 years before joining Northwell Concorde Medical Group. Dr. Roure is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bronx. He obtained his bachelor degree in Biology from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences. While at Cornell, he was inducted into the Quill and Dagger Honor Society. After graduation, he attended NYU Medical School and completed his internship and residency at NYU Medical Center where he was also elected as a chief resident. Upon completion of his Chief Residency year, Dr. Roure joined private practice at Pediatrics East of NY, P.C. where he served the pediatric community for the past 27 years. While in private practice, Dr. Roure was also a volunteer clinical faculty providing clinical teaching to Medical students at both NYU and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Roure is excited to join the Northwell Health Concorde Pediatrics team and is looking forward to continuing to provide excellent pediatric care to his patients. He greatly enjoys working with families and guiding parents through all the stages of their child’s development. He believes that it is extremely important that patients and parents understand how lifestyle choices can affect both their emotional and physical well being. To this end, he works tirelessly to provide the best possible guidance for his patients and parents.
Dr. Roure is a strong proponent of preventive care, including regular well child visits, screenings and vaccinations. He feels that this care plays the most important role in developing healthy, well adjusted children and young adults. His scope of practice includes chronic, acute and well child care for newborns, adolescent and behavioral health, vaccinations and child development.
In his free time, Dr. Roure enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
