Biography
Dr. Anna Zou is a board-certified pediatrician. After completing her pediatrics residency at NYU Langone medical center, Dr. Zou joined Pediatrics East of New York PC, a well-established, respected private practice on the Upper East side where she also became a partner and vice president of the practice. She served as a clinical instructor of pediatrics at both NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Lenox Hill Hospital before her practice officially joined Concorde Medical’s pediatrics division in August 2024.
Dr. Zou’s interest in pediatrics was first sparked by her summer volunteering experience during college with a local pediatrician, Dr. Elizabeth Alexander. It turned out to be an everlasting impression that inspired Dr. Zou to pursue a career that can better the world at large by improving the life of a child, one at a time. Just like her mentor, Dr. Zou believes in practicing empathetic and compassionate medicine where she strives to empower and educate all her patients and families to discover their own abilities to become their own best healthcare advocates.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Zou believes each patient and family is unique and has their own story to tell and that there is no one size fits all solution, but rather patient centered and individualized treatments based on one’s unique needs. She feels honored to be a part of her patient’s life journey from newborns to college grads. Her clinical interests range from newborn medicine, preventative care, allergy and asthma to adolescent eating disorders. Dr. Zou has been recognized with Patients Top Choice Award in US News and World Report, 2022-2023 as well as one of the Best Pediatricians in New York, 2019.
