Infectious Disease

Infectious Diseases Division at Concorde Medical Group is a sub-specialty of the group’s Internal Medicine Division.  The division offers comprehensive and therapeutic services in all types of infectious diseases.  Additionally, the infectious disease physician serves as primary care providers for individuals with chronic HIV infection.  Infectious disease physicians are experienced in diagnosis and treatment of infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. In addition to diagnosis and treatment, providers focus on prevention of infection as well.  The division also provides Travel Medicine consultation, which offers patients vaccinations and medications based on individualized medical history and travel itinerary to help minimize risk of infection. Disease processes and conditions routinely diagnosed and treated include:
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Tropical infections and diseases of travelers

  • Infections of prosthetic devices

The Infectious Disease Division is led by Stephanie Sterling, MD MPH, who is a faculty member of the New York University School of Medicine and admits to New York University Langone Medical Center.
